The 1990s sitcom Martin’s bar owner Nipsey, played by actor Sean Lampkin, has away at the age of 54.
Marsel Watts, a friend of the actor, announced his passing on Facebook.
“My friend, my final roommate of ten years, a father and a family guy, my brother, skate partner, business partner, and trainer passed away this morning. “Rest in peace, Sean Lampkin,” she wrote.
She continued, “BKA as Nipsey the bartender on Martin, The pest control man in Bad Boys, the cab driver in Big Mamas Home, and the shooter in Life,” adding more of his well-known roles. He also had a black belt in karate. As Martin Lawrence’s right-hand guy, he worked for Martin Lawrence for many years. Martin cannot exist without Sean.
Memnar Grayton later said that the hilarious prodigy passed away while sleeping.
“Sean offered us a bright sun every morning to guide his friends and family along safe, well-lit paths. Every day, even when we weren’t feeling well or didn’t seem to want to do anything, he offered us floods of love, the author told Essence.
Early Life and Career
Chicago, Illinois, was the place of Sean Lampkin’s birth on March 12, 1969. He was raised in a working-class household where his parents’ commitment to and hard work served as an example for him. Lampkin studied business at the University of Chicago and graduated with a degree in it. After receiving his degree, he spent some time working for corporations before launching his own company.
A chain of health food stores Lampkin created in the early 1990s was his first prosperous commercial endeavour. The high-quality goods and Lampkin’s commitment to providing excellent customer service helped the businesses quickly gain popularity. One of the biggest chains of health food stores in the US subsequently emerged as he expanded the company to multiple locations around the nation.
Lampkin focused on the tech sector at the beginning of the 2000s. He established a software company that created ground-breaking solutions for companies. Lampkin was acknowledged as a pioneering businessman in the industry as the company swiftly developed a reputation for quality.
In addition to his appearances in Bad Boys II, Life, and Big Momma’s House, Lampkin is best recognised for his portrayal of Nipsey the bartender on Martin. He was regrettably the second cast member of the sitcom to depart away too soon. The actor that played Tommy in the sitcom, Thomas Mikal Ford, passed away in 2016 at the age of 52.
